Sunday, November 25, 2012 – Cocoa:
The day
dawned bright and beautiful, with no interesting stories to tell. I am afraid our adventures may be dwindling -
at least until we rent a car and start exploring other than on foot. We are in a wonderful marina and town, but I
am thinking maybe we should have gone a little farther south. However, one of the reasons for staying at
this marina is because it is close to the airport.
We worked
around on the boat for awhile, tried to watch the Ravens game on the TV in the
marina clubhouse, but wouldn’t you know, it was not broadcast on their
channels. Likewise, we can’t watch any
TV on the boat because a humongous condo is blocking the signal. The marina has offered to let us move to
another slip, but I’m not sure that will solve the problem. We need a cable to hook into the marina’s TV
hook-up, which we have – but we took it off the boat before we left home
thinking (foolishly now) that we wouldn’t need it. Not to mention that we really didn’t know
what the cable was for anyway. There was
also a nifty little antenna that was on the boat that we removed which may have
helped up get some channels.
We did go
for a nice long walk this afternoon.
Then we tried to get the Ravens game on the computer, but we are either
too technologically challenged, or it just plain doesn’t work.
So that’s
it for today, folks. Sorry.
