Friday, March 1, 2013 – Indiantown:
It has
turned gray, windy and chilly. I had
great plans for sleeping in this morning, but I woke up at 6:30 a.m., wide
awake. So we got up.
After
breakfast, the first thing we had to do was move the boat to another slip. When we got in here yesterday, even though we
had a reservation, the marina was pretty busy, so they put us in the slip where
the travel life is used to haul out boats.
There was another boat that was leaving first thing this morning, and we
moved into the slip that boat vacated.
It was pretty convenient as he was tied up along side the face
dock. Even though this would only take
about ½ hour, we had to turn on the engines, so Miss Lucy headed for “under the
covers.”
After that
bit of activity, the day was ours. We
decided to do boat chores – Bob gave the outside of the boat a bath, and I
cleaned the inside. My next big project
after that was to move the food that was in the bottom of the freezer to the
top of the freezer.
We also
made reservations for tomorrow at a marina closer to St. Lucie Lock and the
Indian Street Bridge as there are time restraints for getting through both the
lock and the bridge due to construction.
I don’t how
it happened, but all of the above managed to take up most of the day. It is now 4:00 p.m., and it is raining. Fortunately, for me, unfortunately, for the
blog - it has been a pretty uneventful day!
